This is SigiL’s personal site.

The name comes from Planescape: Torment, a game I played in 2007 on my first personal computer. Sigil was a city. Some called it the Cage. You could enter, but leaving required the right key.

I have worked in and around games since 2015: writing, editing, community work, localization QA, PR, museums, exhibitions, books, and small retail.

I write mostly in Chinese. The subjects tend to return to fiction, reading, Flaubert, games, travel, graves, and old notes.

I use Obsidian, keep plain files, and distrust software that wants to become a house.

I was born in Zhejiang, lived in Beijing for twelve years, and now live in Shanghai.
